Kissed By The Sun (the album) came from the minds and hearts of myself and the iconic Jeff Lorber in 2012. When it came time to choose the first single, the title track was my first choice, but it was ultimately decided to pick Starpixie, followed by Lock It Down, and Ready When You Are, all three of which were Billboard hits
After my most recent 2024 album Count Your Lucky Stars peaked with two successful singles, my label and promotion people scratched our collective heads for a follow-up. We figured that with that established track record for KBTS, it was a no brainer. Audiences already loved it but it was never promoted to radio as a single, so it was remixed and mastered and edited for radio, and also given a new ISRC code and artwork. Kissed By The Sun Again was born like a Phoenix in 2025 as a radio single and popped on the charts and SiriusXM Watercolors first week of release. KBTSA
